GSRC RESULTS DATABASE
This data is extracted from PC
Lapcounter, our timing system.
We used to just keep Excel data sheets of results but now our
webmaster has created an on-line database which helps
us analyse past performances in more depth. We can find out how
good (or bad) our cars are compared with others, and remind ourselves
of cars we have tried in the past and might be worth another go
(or not). It also helps our newer members to make choices about
cars to acquire in order to be competitive.
Members of other clubs: If
you race standard "out of the box" cars on your track,
you might find the general
reports of some use in comparing different
cars' performances between our circuit and yours. Remember our
track is 13.5m in length, and uses Scalextric Sport track.
Use the data as you see fit - past performance is no guarantee
of future success as they say in all the investment ads!

TOP 40 CARS - "Top
Gear" style leaderboard of our fastest cars
[no-mags-only version]
MOST RACED CARS - the
top 10 car models that have put in the highest amount
of competitive mileage so far (total of everyone's
models).
LEAST RACED CARS - blink
and you missed them! Anything under 80 laps has not even
completed the distance of one race night.
ALL TIME MOST WINS
(Car models) - Top 10 - these are cars that are being used to good effect,
in most cases by more than one club member.

FULL
RESULTS SEARCH
Search on all results from a given meeting and class, gives finish position,
laps, gap, car, lane and fastest lap, plus a full colour lapchart. No race data
available before meeting 16. 16 and 17 are patchy. 18 onwards are pretty much
complete. Non-championship tactical challenge and endurance meetings are not
recorded in this database as the results and times are not comparable with those
of regular meetings.

Which car class and lane combinations give you the best
chance of a win? These are the
races where you pretty much just have
to turn up and drive to victory!
And sometimes you won't stand an earthly - you could just
as well park
it at the start in these
races, although any wins you do get on these
lane/class combinations will be very valuable.

*NB: All lap times in the database are "end-of-race best" times - you may set
many fast laps within tenths of each other during the course of a race, but only
your best one in each race makes it into the database. Mainly due to space and
processing requirements, the rest are still available but held only in the original
PC Lapcounter files.
